Elsternwick Home by Architecture Works is a study in contemporary timelessness, where the character of an original residence is carefully balanced with the clarity of a new extension. A restrained, tactile palette of quartzite stone, timber veneers, aged brass and hand-polished plaster brings depth and warmth, favouring finishes that feel established rather than new.

Our Almond flooring forms the unifying thread throughout the home, grounding the original rooms and sculptural staircase before reappearing overhead as ceiling cladding in the extension. This deliberate repetition softens the scale of the expansive, light-filled living spaces, creating a sense of continuity and calm between old and new.
