Perched on a hilly Toorak site, Kooyong Residence, designed by Travis Walton, reinterprets a 1940s Georgian Revival home for contemporary living. The restored façade retains its classical character, while reconfigured interiors enhance light, flow, and a deeper connection to the landscape.
A sculptural stair leads to a new ‘great room’ below, where a contemporary extension opens to a travertine terrace and infinity-edge pool, softened by layered planting. Refined period details are balanced with a restrained modern palette of Calacatta Viola marble, burnished brass, and European oak flooring in a soft Billow tone from our Tonal Collection, bringing calm, continuity, and understated elegance throughout.
